Long Technical College NAVTA Meeting #4 Notes
Tuesday, 11/01/2005 1230PM 

1) Meeting Supervisor: unsupervised (all in a teacher meeting) 

2) Members present: 
         -Tracy Kinder (VP) 
         -Amber Stryszko (Treasurer) 
         -Melissa (Mel) Murray (Secretary) 
         -Randy Pitcher (President) 
         
3) Non-members present: 
         -Maryn Boyer 
         -Jamie Ralston 
         -Chasity Camien 
         -Chanel Prowell 
         -Jenipher Bishop 
         
4) Funds are now positive by $30 (Randy Pitcher paid his $20 yearly dues ). 

5) Atlanta Kaplan has approved "Tracy's" website! =) We can now officially call
   it the LTC NAVTA student chapter website and post items using the L TC name. 
   
6) Shelly is to look into forming obedience classes (for dogs). 

7) We may create our own NAVTA booth to place on LTC campus for informational 
   purposes for students. (set up bi-yearly, tri-yearly, quarterly, etc.) 
   
8) Fall Festival has been completely cancelled for an unknown reason. 

9) A Winter Festival may replace the Fall Festival. 

10) Jaime Ra1ston is to look into setting up "pet pictures with Santa". 

11) Fair ideas: (all need to be approved by LTC) 
       -Santa pictures 
       -Stockings 
       -Biscuits & stuffed animals 
       -N/T's 
       
12) Flyers to be placed around school promoting the fair. 

13) Surveys to be handed out to students to find out what types of animals they own,
    if they are willing to come to the fair, and what kind of treats/toys they would 
    make a "donation" for. 
    
14) Possibly place a LTC NAVTA booth at Phoenix X-mas fairs (around the city). 

15) NAVTA packet is being refined currently.

16) Every new mod, hand out NAVTA packets to the new ("newbies") Vet Tech students. 

17) Individual member email addresses (OPTIONAL ) to be posted on the LTC student chapter
    website.
    
18) Chanel Prowell will be going to the Humane Society orientation this weekend to apply/learn
    to volunteer. She handed out applications to all that were interested that were present at
    this meeting. 
    
19) Winter Festival preparation meeting to be held on Tuesday, November 29th, 2005 at 12:30PM. 

20) Monthly meeting to be hel.d Tuesday, December 6th, 2005 at 5PM. 

21) As of today, all odd months (Jan., Mar., May, July, Sept., & Nov.) will be held at 12:30PM;
    all even months (Feb., April, June, Aug., Oct., & Dec.) will be held at 5PM.
