Rodrigues X Marilynn Cute X X Pam Gardner X Dellynn C. Wilson X Jamie Ralston X Tara Chesser X Old business: Membership is not sufficient to vote on By Laws, Constitution and officers. Robert agreed to get membership forms to new students and have them readily available to anyone who is interested in joining. It was discussed by group to have a membership drive in January. We would have tables at the break areas to have visibility and tell other students what we have planned and how joining the organization would benefit their careers. Increased membership will help meet the goal of voting on chapter business by February 2007. It was explained that all "raised funds" are allocated as follows: 50% to the NAVTA LT Student Chapter and 50% to a non-profit organization in animal welfare. New business: Where do we go from here? Since there has been a not-so-favorable opinion by students of this chapter, how do we meet the needs of the students while providing a program that reaches out into the community. Ideas that were discussed for immediate action: Bake sale for November Blanket, towel, and toy drive for the AHS or other shelter Volunteer opportunities in the community for future months: Arizona Humane Society Second Chance Hospital CABRA (Coalition of All Breed Rescue of AZ) vaccination and microchip clinic Sun Valley Animal Shelter volunteer project AAWL volunteer project Maricopa County Animal Care and Control Spay Days Emergency Animal Clinics-public Jamie asked for a list of organizations that needed volunteers. Suzanne agreed to compile a list and make it available to all students in the VT program. It was decided that we would start the donation drive for the Holiday Shelter Drive asap. Meeting was adjourned at 7:58 am.
